Although many sightseers seem quite content to stroll around town, photograph this lovely place and wander through tasteful shops along Main Street, may we suggest the following points of interest as well:
Scenic Route 6A.
Wealthy merchants and sea captains erected stately homes along Old King's Highway (6A). Travel at your leisure along with narrow and winding way. Ranked among the top scenie byways in the country, winds approximately 34 miles from Bourne to Orleans. Along the way you'll pass hundreds of beautifully restored homes, historic sites, interesting shops, grand old inns and breathtaking salt marshes. Those wishing to explore further need only to choose a side road north to reach the shores of Cape Cod Bay. Also known as “Antique Alley”. |
